Dr. Julien Fattebert
Building on two decades of wildlife research, Dr. Julien Fattebert has extensive experience in the management and conservation of various taxa in diverse ecosystems worldwide, with particular expertise in the ecology of large carnivores and ungulates, as well as dispersal and migration.
His key analytical skills applied to wildlife management and conservation lie in population estimation, movement analysis, habitat selection modeling, and landscape connectivity.
Dr. Fattebert actively contributes to cutting-edge discussions and initiatives in the field of wildlife biology as a Research Professor at Vilnius University in Lithuania and a Research Associate at Nelson Mandela University in South Africa. He is a member of the IUCN Connectivity Conservation Specialist Group, the Southern African Wildlife Management Association (SAWMA), the Ungulate Working Group of the Swiss Society of Wildlife Biology (SGW-SSBF), and the collaborative research groups EURODEER, EUREDDEER, EUROBOAR, and AFRIMOVE.
